I know I haven't updated in ages.... but really, you have to give me some credit for making the effort to what with the limited time I have everyday. It's nowhere near the same as uni days ya know?! It's the 21st again hehehe... After being with him for a year plus, I have become so dependent on him and reverting back to my independent state seems impossible. I NEED him in almost everything I do... I need those constant bear hugs; I need him to reprimand and nag me; I need him to laugh at me and make me laugh when I am trying to look serious and pissed with him; I need him to act cute and stupid to crack me up; I need him to have long talks with about everything and nothing; I need him to tell me bedtime stories to put me to sleep; I need him to wake me up in the morning (for those of u who don't know, it is not at all easy to wake me up, the chipmunk takes at least half an hour to get me up), to repeatedly say "wake up sweetie" or "qi shen la dear dear", to keep shaking me ("dear dear, dear dear") and tickling me and in the end hug me while I continue my beauty sleep; I need him to settle my breakfast every morning (okay.. everyone I work with knows that I am provided with breakfast every morning lol); I need him to choose what I wear for the week and to iron them; I need him to nag me for not drinking enough water and to literally feed me with H2O; I need the constant listening from him when I rant and rant about things; I need him simply because he understands me so well; I LOVE him and... I love it when he carries/piggy backs me to the kitchen and place me on the kitchen counter just to watch him cut fruits, wash dishes or hang the wet clothes; I love it when he sings to me at night during our walks back home or when we wander around at night during trips; I love it when he nags me and get scolded for nagging me even when I asked him to control me in certain things (Awww so poor thing); I love falling asleep in his strong arms; I love his warm, firm hands; I love that he can always sweep/lift me up so easily and hold me in the air (this is not a good thing when u r supposed to be extremely mad with him because then he has control); I love that he smells so good all the time; I love that he looks so adorable all the time, be it intentionally or unintentionally; I love it when he pretends to have a secret and ends up telling me what it is and say "shhhh... don't tell dear dear"; I love to see his adorable face when he attempts to sulk in an attempt to get me to give in and have things his way for ONCE; I love that he comes to kiss me on my forehead and cheek just before he leaves when he wakes up early in the morning to play sports or to go to work and I stay home and continue sleeping; I love the time when he came back whining to me because he was queueing up to buy me 'tau fu fa' (something that I like to eat) to surprise me only for it to have finished when it was his turn and I ended up having to cheer him up; I love cuddling at home with him doing absolutely nothing but not feel bored just because I have his company; I love all the constant surprises he gives me for no apparent reason; to name a few: - There was this time I was bathing with hot water and then the misted mirror caught my attention. It read: DEAR DEAR I LOVE U DEAR DEAR It was nothing luxurious but it sure melted my heart.. hehee - There was a period of time he had to returned to his hometown for two consecutive weekends and I was home alone. He not only rushed back to be with me but bought me snacks and then surprised me with a rose. " Dear dear come sit down" "Wait.. let me dry my hair first" "orhhhh ok" *turns around and sticks his butt to my face*--> a stalk of rose was sticking out of his back pocket
- He made me a mug with our names on it. When he showed it to me, he pointed at the male skunk and said "This is me!" and then to the female skunk and said "This is you!" LOL!!! (He sure has hair like the male skunk and sure has the ability to execute such a pose).
- When I stayed home to study for my exams and he had to go to work, he filled the cup with water with a note (I'm sure you can tell by now that I don't drink water that much)
During my study break, he also set all these reminders in my handphone to go off at specific times, all without me knowing it

Despite seeing him practically everyday, I still miss him and my heart still skips a beat everytime I see him *shy* I love u dear dear... Okay if you survived all the cheesiness above, congratulations hehe... now for some updating...Since I am already so lagged in my updating, I shall start with the latest of events (although it's not exactly that recent as well).... My Phuket trip. We reached the airport quite late as the chipmunk went to play his weekly badminton. We then took our time eating lunch at the airport and pranced around the airport and before we knew it it was way past our boarding time. We then quickened our pace and soon realised our gate was so damn far and started to run...the next thing we saw on the screens on the way there was that the gate was closing. The gate was at the end of a corner of the airport and it was so far it's not even funny. Anyways, we got there and rushed through the scanning and all. Since it was Air Asia, it was free seating, and since we were late, we couldn't get a seat together at all. So we settled at two front and back aisle seats. The chipmunk kept disturbing me from behind throughout the entire flight. Anyhow, we got to our destination So.. here are the pictures.... Taken at Changi airport, Singapore.
Arriving at Phuket We rented a car since we had effectively only 1.5 days there.. we reached our resort after 4p.m. and had a 9a.m flight back to Singapore on monday morning. So, we travelled around with map (kinda experienced the Amazing Race feeling, at least I think that's how they feel when there are no clear road signs). But we only experienced some difficulties getting to our resort, all was smooth sailing after that .
After missing a crossroad we were supposed to make a turning at, we resorted to driving along the coastline and finally reached our destination... Dusit Laguna Resort.
We were greeted by two ladies at the entrance and the lady in the picture below presented each of us with this mini orchid wreath thingy.
Half the reception office. The reception is situated in an air conditioned glass box inside the resort, unlike the usual ones in other resorts which are situated at the entrance and in the open air. I must commend the excellent service of the staff there. They let us sit on any couch at the reception area, served us cold delicious tea, collected our documents and settled everything. Then, walked over and explained everything to us. We didn't even have to move our ass to where they were seated.
Our receptionist. I snapped her picture without asking for permission and she was nice enough to smile at me after that hehee.
So after all the explanations and whatnots, off we were to our Ocean Front room.

The breathtaking view from our room.
The room and services exceeded our expectations. Shortly after we settled down in our room, a housekeeper rang the bell to ask for permission to turn down our bed. She then set up the aromatherapy in the bathroom for us.
We were starving by now and decided to order for room service since we arranged to have spa at 6p.m. (We didn't exactly go through lengths to eat during our trip there).
We decided to visit the swimming pool on our way to the spa and take some pictures for a bit. That's the cafe where we have our complimentary breakfast every morning.
Here's the spa. We chose the duet spa and shared a room.
These are the 3 choices of potpourri you can choose from which they place at the bottom of ur massage bed underneath the hole where u plant ur face. They had Orange, Eucalyptus and (I think) Pine. Both of us chose Orange.
While waiting to go to the spa house, they served us this chilled marroon flower tea which was really yummylicious.
The pathway to our spa house
The spa was not bad but kinda on the pricey end considering we only had time to do it at our resort and not outside where obviously better bargains can be found. BUT.... I must say, the shower was amazing. The shower place was outside the spa house in the open air at a corner. Lol, so u had to walk out there naked and take ur shower in the garden outside. Both our treatments were run simulatneously, so they literally did the polish and massage for the left leg, right leg, left hand, right hand, back, chest and face; and shower at the same time for us. At the end of it, they served us I am not being bias here, but the chipmunk's full body massage still beats the spa treatment flat lol...Yes! He is that good. He on the other hand said that the facial treatment I give him occasionally (I say occasionaly because the frequency of the facial treatment I give him to the full body massages I get is like a 1 to 20? Tee hee) is much better than that we received during the spa (I sure hope it is). After that, we returned to our room and washed our (super) oily bodies clean and got ready for dinner.
We drove out to a section of eateries not too far from where we stayed. But we were kinda surprised that most of them were empty. We then settled for a more lively one called The Supper Place.
The Appetizer, Crackers with dip.
Tom Yam Goong. The undeniable fact is, TomYam will always taste way better in Thailand than anywhere else in the world even if you eat in a random restaurant in Thailand.
As most of you would know, I don't drive even though I have a licence. So the chipmunk always teases me and had on a number of occasions asked me to drive his car. That night, he actually managed to convince me to drive back to the resort from where we ate. I did put up a fight considering I haven't driven in like whut? 4 years?! But I did drive back eventually. Hehehe... When we reached back, the chipmunk suggested we took a stroll along the beach. After that we settled down at the hammock (the one in one of the pictures above that I snapped our hotel room. It was really relaxing to just lie there under the full moon and forget about all the worries I have.
Hehe.. after that we mengada and pulled on the bathrobes in our room and decided to use them as our pyjamas during our stay. They were real loose and comfy hehe... we look a bit like Japanese, don't we? (chehhhhhh....)
Our booking included complimentary breakfast throughout our stay. The breakfast is the usual buffet breakfast you get in any other hotels and resort. Yet, I always look forward to them hehehe...
The chipmunk's masterpiece (he basically just made an nice arrangement when taking the fruits). He likes doing things with fruits. Every time he cuts fruits for the both of us, he will arrange them in a certain manner and 'merajuk/lau kai' when I fail to notice. My bad.. heheheh
The pool in the morning. We decided to make a trip down to Patong Beach (we had too short a time and could not go to Phi Phi Island).
As I said, we had no problem looking for places except the first time when we were looking for our resort. So we reached Patong without any trouble.
POSER SIALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!! hehehe
We didn't take many pictures as there were only the both of us so we either take pictures ourselves or take individual pictures of each other. We spent most of the time having fun in the water where the chipmunk piggy-backed me and lifted me as the wave approached only to splash the salty water all over me after that.... geezzzz
If we had had MORE TIME and MORE CASH, I would have gone for para-sailing. Instead, we settled for jetskiing. My very first time on a Jet Ski, damn jakun... I know la. It was fun and exciting bouncing up and down against the waves. After we had had enough with Patong Beach, we returned to our resort to use their swimming pool (Our resort is not exactly vert near to Patong Beach, mind you). We sat by the pool side with our fries, drinks and magazines before dipping in the pool. Then as we swam around we notice this baby elephant and all the tourist and everyone who was in the pool got out to get a shot with this elephant. The pools were literally cleared all for this baby elephant. It was so funny, the elephant was busy plucking grass with its trunk and feeding itself and it was constantly interrupted by us. The guy guiding the elephant would then say 'Action' and the elephant would have to lift its trunk as seen in the pictures below. Lol, poor elephant.
It turns out that the elephant was there for a wedding. It was marching with dancers and musicians, accompanying the bride. We shot a short video of it.
We then laid down under the sun at our resort's private beach, Bang Tao Beach for a bit.
The hammock AGAIN. We lurve it hehehe. After cleaning up, we made a trip down to Patong to walk along their streets.
This is Phuket's biggest mall, Jungceylon. There was nothing much in there though. All the while when we were there, the Chipmunk either held my hand really tightly or wrapped his arms around my waist really tightly. I was kinda perplexed at first and soon realised he was afraid of the 'chickens' along the streets... hehe SO CUTE! Then, we returned to our resort for dinner. It was a rather short trip so we had to make the most of it (including going to and fro to places).

The only souvenir we got from Phuket is a pair of couple t-shirts. It was just a weekend getaway for us. A short but extremely enjoyable trip.
The car we rented, a Honda Jazz. We left Phuket with a heavy heart because obviously, it was too short a trip but the chipmunk insisted that there will be a next time. Lastly, Phuket from the skies.
BYE BYE Phuket.... Huhuhuhu |
