I have the best boyfriend in the world

Sighh... the chipmunk just left for the airport.. he's goin to Bangkok  (for an ENTIRE WEEK) AGAIN. We had just gone there at the end of June for holiday (I haven't blogged about it.. Then again, I haven't blogged bout any other things for that matter)

Anyways, the point I'm trying to make is... He spent the entire morning cleaning the entire house and later bought lunch for me only for me to throw tantrums. Then I fell asleep and din realise this until he left -->he ironed my entire week's worth of clothes before leaving. He actually hugged and kissed me goodbye before leaving the house but I gave him the cold shoulder (which of course I extremely regret right after).

Then I realised how much I missed him and started *boo hoo hooingggg*... I'm such a cry baby right now by the way and I blame him for it. He actually wanted to bring me along, but how's that possible without losing my job?

But despite me throwing a huge tantrum he was still so patient and treated me like a gem. Now I have to turn to my pillow (he pulled his t-shirt over my pillow so that his smell would still be here when he's gone) to feel his presence.. sighhh....I feel depressed and the fact that Avril Lavigne's "When you're gone" just started playing makes it even worse.

I can foresee how hard it's gonna be for me given that the nature of his job requires him to travel. Plus, when it comes to the CHINESE jobs, there's not many employees to choose from. Knowing how to write and speak chinese is not enough, u need to know the technical terms as well and hence, my chipmunk would be an easy target for the chinese jobs. Sighh......

Since I'm at it and since I miss HIM so much, let me share a bit more... There was this time when I got mad for some minor reason (I had to think very hard to recall the reason) and was working at the client's office. So I was in the room and my colleague, Alice suddenly came in and said that we would have lunch together and asked me to meet her at the Cedele downstairs at 12.15pm. I just said 'okay' without thinking further. So 12.15pm and down I went and found a table to sit and then suddenly there was this figure standing infront of me, I looked up and the chipmunk was there!!! He came all the way just because I threw a fit over something he did in the morning. Needless to say, all's forgiven. Here's part of our conversation after lunch (temasek tower was where my client was):

msn 1 msn 2 msn 4

The chipmunk is so cute that he once whispered to me "I tell u a secret, I want dear dear to be my siu lai lai" and then blushed and said "shhh.. dun tell dear dear".  He also said he wants to work hard to give me a better life....Sighh... you tell me larrr how can my heart not melt after hearing that??!!!\

On a lighter note, I feel so proud to say this.. the chipmunk ran the anchor leg and won the 4x100m race during our company's sportsday yesterday although he hasn't ran in ages proving he still has it in him .  He ran after playing a few badminton games and suffered from cramps and all. I actually took a video but was trying to look at the track and the camera screen at the same time so it's really shaky and of really bad quality because I was as nervous as he was hehehe...(I got scared when I saw his opponents, all built with the runner's physique and what with all the guai lou's and all while the chipmunk's team were forcefully put together just so that they have enough runners for this event, all small and skinny hehehe)

I didn't tape until the end because I got overly excited when I saw him reaching the finish line..Sorry.. hehe

Here's the video for yesterday's race...(he's the LAST runner in white; though his teammates wore yellow.. he's the one who overtook the guai lou in red)

P/s: None of the screaming voices you hear in the background are mine.

...and this was his slightly younger self when he was back in PwC three years ago (he's the SECOND runner in red)...

Incidentally, the 3rd runner in red, Chiam is the same runner as the 3rd runner in yellow in the 1st video. It's nice to be able to run with the same people on two different occasions for two different companies. The chipmunk normally runs the anchor leg except for that one occasion above. I'll save you the details on the reason why.

Okay.... that's all for now folks! Maybe I'll blog again soon seeing that I don't have the chipmunk around to distract me.

21st & Phuket Trip

 I know I haven't updated in ages.... but really, you have to give me some credit for making the effort to what with the limited time I have everyday. It's nowhere near the same as uni days ya know?!

It's the 21st again hehehe...

After being with him for a year plus, I have become so dependent on him and reverting back to my independent state seems impossible.

I NEED him in almost everything I do...

I need those constant bear hugs;

I need him to reprimand and nag me;

I need him to laugh at me and make me laugh when I am trying to look serious and pissed with him;

I need him to act cute and stupid to crack me up;

I need him to have long talks with about everything and nothing;

I need him to tell me bedtime stories to put me to sleep;

I need him to wake me up in the morning (for those of u who don't know, it is not at all easy to wake me up, the chipmunk takes at least half an hour to get me up), to repeatedly say "wake up sweetie" or "qi shen la dear dear", to keep shaking me ("dear dear, dear dear") and tickling me and in the end hug me while I continue my beauty sleep;

I need him to settle my breakfast every morning (okay.. everyone I work with knows that I am provided with breakfast every morning lol);

I need him to choose what I wear for the week and to iron them;

I need him to nag me for not drinking enough water and to literally feed me with H2O;

I need the constant listening from him when I rant and rant about things;

I need him simply because he understands me so well;

I LOVE him and...

I love it when he carries/piggy backs me to the kitchen and place me on the kitchen counter just to watch him cut fruits, wash dishes or hang the wet clothes;

I love it when he sings to me at night during our walks back home or when we wander around at night during trips;

I love it when he nags me and get scolded for nagging me even when I asked him to control me in certain things (Awww so poor thing);

I love falling asleep in his strong arms;

I love his warm, firm hands;

I love that he can always sweep/lift me up so easily and hold me in the air (this is not a good thing when u r supposed to be extremely mad with him because then he has control);

I love that he smells so good all the time;

I love that he looks so adorable all the time, be it intentionally or unintentionally;

I love it when he pretends to have a secret and ends up telling me what it is and say "shhhh... don't tell dear dear";

I love to see his adorable face when he attempts to sulk in an attempt to get me to give in and have things his way for ONCE;

I love that he comes to kiss me on my forehead and cheek just before he leaves when he wakes up early in the morning to play sports or to go to work and I stay home and continue sleeping;

I love the time when he came back whining to me because he was queueing up to buy me 'tau fu fa' (something that I like to eat) to surprise me only for it to have finished when it was his turn and I ended up having to cheer him up;

I love cuddling at home with him doing absolutely nothing but not feel bored just because I have his company;

I love all the constant surprises he gives me for no apparent reason; to name a few:

- There was this time I was bathing with hot water and then the misted mirror caught my attention. It read:

DEAR DEAR

          I  LOVE U

                      DEAR DEAR

It was nothing luxurious but it sure melted my heart.. hehee

- There was a period of time he had to returned to his hometown for two consecutive weekends and I was home alone. He not only rushed back to be with me but bought me snacks and then surprised me with a rose.

" Dear dear come sit down"

"Wait.. let me dry my hair first"

"orhhhh ok"

*turns around and sticks his butt to my face*--> a stalk of rose was sticking out of his back pocket

P1020824 P1020826

- He made me a mug with our names on it. When he showed it to me, he pointed at the male skunk and said "This is me!" and then to the female skunk and said "This is you!" LOL!!! (He sure has hair like the male skunk and sure has the ability to execute such a pose).

P1020777 P1020778

- When I stayed home to study for my exams and he had to go to work, he filled the cup with water with a note (I'm sure you can tell by now that I don't drink water that much)

P1020779

During my study break, he also set all these reminders in my handphone to go off at specific times, all without me knowing it

P1020780P1020781

P1020782P1020783

P1020784 P1020786

Despite seeing him practically everyday, I still miss him and my heart still skips a beat everytime I see him *shy*

I love u dear dear...

Okay if you survived all the cheesiness above, congratulations hehe... now for some updating...

Since I am already so lagged in my updating, I shall start with the latest of events (although it's not exactly that recent as well).... My Phuket trip.

We reached the airport quite late as the chipmunk went to play his weekly badminton. We then took our time eating lunch at the airport and pranced around the airport and before we knew it it was way past our boarding time. We then quickened our pace and soon realised our gate was so damn far and started to run...the next thing we saw on the screens on the way there was that the gate was closing. The gate was at the end of a corner of the airport and it was so far it's not even funny. Anyways, we got there and rushed through the scanning and all. Since it was Air Asia, it was free seating, and since we were late, we couldn't get a seat together at all. So we settled at two front and back aisle seats. The chipmunk kept disturbing me  from behind throughout the entire flight.

Anyhow, we got to our destination

So.. here are the pictures....

Taken at Changi airport, Singapore.

Arriving at Phuket

We rented a car since we had effectively only 1.5 days there.. we reached our resort after 4p.m. and had a 9a.m flight back to Singapore on monday morning. So, we travelled around with map (kinda experienced the Amazing Race feeling, at least I think that's how they feel when there are no clear road signs). But we only experienced some difficulties getting to our resort, all was smooth sailing after that .

P1020854  P1020856 P1020857 P1020862

After missing a crossroad we were supposed to make a turning at, we resorted to driving along the coastline and finally reached our destination... Dusit Laguna Resort.

P1020870 P1020872

We were greeted by two ladies at the entrance and the lady in the picture below presented each of us with this mini orchid wreath thingy.

P1020873 P1020874 P1020875 P1020876 P1020878 P1020880

Half the reception office. The reception is situated in an air conditioned glass box inside the resort, unlike the usual ones in other resorts which are situated at the entrance and in the open air.

I must commend the excellent service of the staff there. They let us sit on any couch at the reception area, served us cold  delicious tea, collected our documents and settled everything. Then, walked over and explained everything to us. We didn't even have to move our ass to where they were seated.

P1020881

Our receptionist. I snapped her picture without asking for permission and she was nice enough to smile at me after that hehee.

P1020884 P1020885

So after all the explanations and whatnots, off we were to our Ocean Front room.

The breathtaking view from our room.

P1020899 P1020902

P1020903

P1020904

The room and services exceeded our expectations. Shortly after we settled down in our room, a housekeeper rang the bell to ask for permission to turn down our bed. She then set up the aromatherapy in the bathroom for us.

P1020907 P1020913

We were starving by now and decided to order for room service since we arranged to have spa at 6p.m. (We didn't exactly go through lengths to eat during our trip there).

P1020909

We decided to visit the swimming pool on our way to the spa and take some pictures for a bit.

  P1020916 P1020917 P1020919

That's the cafe where we have our complimentary breakfast every morning.

P1020921 P1020923

Here's the spa. We chose the duet spa and shared a room.

P1020906

 P1020925 P1020926 P1020928 P1020930

These are the 3 choices of potpourri you can choose from which they place at the bottom of ur massage bed underneath the hole where u plant ur face. They had Orange, Eucalyptus and (I think) Pine. Both of us chose Orange.

P1020934 P1020935

While waiting to go to the spa house, they served us this chilled marroon flower tea which was really yummylicious.

P1020936

The pathway to our spa house

P1020937

The spa was not bad but kinda on the pricey end considering we only had time to do it at our resort and not outside where obviously better bargains can be found. BUT.... I must say, the shower was amazing. The shower place was outside the spa house in the open air at a corner. Lol, so u had to walk out there naked and take ur shower in the garden outside. Both our treatments were run simulatneously, so they literally did the polish and massage for the left leg, right leg, left hand, right hand, back, chest and face; and shower at the same time for us.

At the end of it, they served us

I am not being bias here, but the chipmunk's full body massage still beats the spa treatment flat lol...Yes! He is that good. He on the other hand said that the facial treatment I give him occasionally (I say occasionaly because the frequency of the facial treatment I give him to the full body massages I get is like a 1 to 20? Tee hee)  is much better than that we received during the spa (I sure hope it is).

After that, we returned to our room and washed our (super) oily bodies clean and got ready for dinner.

P1020940 P1020942 P1020943

We drove out to a section of eateries not too far from where we stayed. But we were kinda surprised that most of them were empty. We then settled for a more lively one called The Supper Place.

P1020947

The Appetizer, Crackers with dip.

P1020948 P1020950

Tom Yam Goong. The undeniable fact is, TomYam will always taste way better in Thailand than anywhere else in the world even if you eat in a random restaurant in Thailand.

P1020951 P1020953

As most of you would know, I don't drive even though I have a licence. So the chipmunk always teases me and had on a number of occasions asked me to drive his car. That night, he actually managed to convince me to drive back to the resort from where we ate. I did put up a fight considering I haven't driven in like whut? 4 years?! But I did drive back eventually. Hehehe...

When we reached back, the chipmunk suggested we took a stroll along the beach. After that we settled down at the hammock (the one in one of the pictures above that I snapped our hotel room. It was really relaxing to just lie there under the full moon and forget about all the worries I have.

P1020959

Hehe.. after that we mengada and pulled on the bathrobes in our room and decided to use them as our pyjamas during our stay. They were real loose and comfy hehe... we look a bit like Japanese, don't we? (chehhhhhh....)

P1020963 P1020966

Our booking included complimentary breakfast throughout our stay. The breakfast is the usual buffet breakfast you get in any other hotels and resort. Yet, I always look forward to them hehehe...

P1020972 P1020973 P1020974 P1020975 P1020977

The chipmunk's masterpiece (he basically just made an nice arrangement when taking the fruits). He likes doing things with fruits. Every time he cuts fruits for the both of us, he will arrange them in a certain manner and 'merajuk/lau kai' when I fail to notice. My bad.. heheheh

P1020979

The pool in the morning.

We decided to make a trip down to Patong Beach (we had too short a time and could not go to Phi Phi Island).

P1020980 P1020986 P1020987 P1020990

As I said, we had no problem looking for places except the first time when we were looking for our resort. So we reached Patong without any trouble.

P1030004

P1030007 P1030009

POSER SIALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!! hehehe

P1030008

P1030010

We didn't take many pictures as there were only the both of us so we either take pictures ourselves or take individual pictures of each other. We spent most of the time having fun in the water where the chipmunk piggy-backed me and lifted me as the wave approached only to splash the salty water all over me after that.... geezzzz

P1020996 P1020998

If we had had MORE TIME and MORE CASH, I would have gone for para-sailing. Instead, we settled for jetskiing.

  P1020999 P1030012

My very first time on a Jet Ski, damn jakun... I know la. It was fun and exciting bouncing up and down against the waves.

After we had had enough with Patong Beach, we returned to our resort to use their swimming pool (Our resort is not exactly vert near to Patong Beach, mind you).

We sat by the pool side with our fries, drinks and magazines before dipping in the pool.

 P1030016 P1030018 P1030019 P1030021

Then as we swam around we notice this baby elephant and all the tourist and everyone who was in the pool got out to get a shot with this elephant. The pools were literally cleared all for this baby elephant. It was so funny, the elephant was busy plucking grass with its trunk and feeding itself and it was constantly interrupted by us. The guy guiding the elephant would then say 'Action' and the elephant would have to lift its trunk as seen in the pictures below. Lol, poor elephant.

P1030026 P1030027

It turns out that the elephant was there for a wedding. It was marching with dancers and musicians, accompanying the bride. We shot a short video of it.

We then laid down under the sun at our resort's private beach, Bang Tao Beach for a bit.

P1030031 P1030032 P1030037 P1030038

The hammock AGAIN. We lurve it hehehe.

After cleaning up, we made a trip down to Patong to walk along their streets.

P1030041 P1030043

This is Phuket's biggest mall, Jungceylon. There was nothing much in there though.

 DSC02696 DSC02697

All the while when we were there, the Chipmunk either held my hand really tightly or wrapped his arms around my waist really tightly. I was kinda perplexed at first and soon realised he was afraid of the 'chickens' along the streets... hehe SO CUTE!

Then, we returned to our resort for dinner. It was a rather short trip so we had to make the most of it (including going to and fro to places).

The only souvenir we got from Phuket is a pair of couple t-shirts. It was just a weekend getaway for us. A short but extremely enjoyable trip.

DSC02719

The car we rented, a Honda Jazz.

We left Phuket with a heavy heart because obviously, it was too short a trip but the chipmunk insisted that there will be a next time.

Lastly, Phuket from the skies.

Severe food poisoning

Pei-fern suffered from food poisoning just less than a week ago and now it is my turn. I threw up at least 15 times after dinner last night. That's 15 times last night itself. First, my stomach felt funny b4 lunch. Then, as evening approached I felt increasing pain in my stomach with an urge to throw up. I thought I was suffering from gastric again as I suffered from it a week back but I didn't see a reason why that would be the case. I didn't really miss meals neither did I feel extremely hungry. Last week, I experienced my very first gastric because I was starving and had no food in my stomach. People say that once u have experienced it, you tend to get it easily when you do not eat on time. I almost threw up a couple of times before dinner.

Anyways, I went to have dinner with Abby and as the time passed, the pain became more and more intense. My entire body felt like it was an ice cube, I was feeling extremely cold despite the hot weather. So then I suggested we leave because I didn't know how long I could hold myself together.

I felt worse and worse on my way home and all I could do when I reached home was to lie on the bed. Then, suddenly all hell broke loose and I found myself staring down the toilet bowl with everything I just consumed for dinner in it. Pei-fern got home and I got her nausea medicine. It didn't help as I continued throwing up. I took another pill again and it still didn't help. I then decided to go to bed. Pei-fern then came in and said:

Pf: I'm dragging you to the doctor tomorrow at 11.

Sf: NO!!!!

Pf: TOO BAD!!!!!!!! They close at 12p.m. so we have to go in the morning. We'll go at 9a.m. when they open.

Sf: I thought u said 11!!!!???

Pf: I had to wait an entire hour last week, 11 is too late.

Wah liaoooooooo damn early lorrrr.... hehehe but she's such a sweetheart ain't she?

So, I threw up 15 times in a night and mind you, they weren't small. I was amazed by how much I could still regurgitate. I think more than four meals came out of my system. And everytime I threw up, I couldn't hold my tears in (Was I crying? Have I lost all my strength I used to have? Or was it due to the force of me throwing up? I'd like to think it's the latter). But the tears didn't stop when I was lying in bed. What the hell was wrong with me?

No prizes for guessing, I didn't sleep well because I kept having to sit in front of the toilet bowl the entire night. The worse one came at 4a.m. I threw up 5 times at one go (even blood came out) and all my stomach acid ended up staying in my mouth and throat. I couldn't get rid of it with water so I made myself a cup of Milo and after a few mouths full, I felt much better and the awful taste of you know what was gone.

I can't even remember the last time I threw up. But this is definitely by far the worse ever. Thank goodness everytime I went out to get some water, Pei-fern was sitting at the living. It was comforting to know that you aren't alone.

I bundled myself in the quilt with no aircond or fan turned on the entire night, windows and door shut. That was how cold I felt.

I'm feeling better now though I haven't exactly recovered. Pei-fern was so kind to buy me lunch and dinner. Thanks babe! I owe you big time. *Hugssss*

I didn't inform my parents about this as I didn't want them to get worried and think that I'm not taking good care over here. I'd prefer them to think that I'm doing well and fine here. I usually do not inform them when I am feeling under the weather or only inform them when it persists but when the worst has passed.

I'm so sorry for the lack of updates peeps... I have been caught up with work and my exam is approaching. Plus, given the fact that I have spent most of my weekends and weekdays working, I'm sure u can tell that not much studying has been done. To make things worse, the studying material is ginormous (well, at least to me since I am used to reading ONLY lecture notes for my uni exams). I do the bare minimum in terms of studying for exams and dun like the "wordy wordy" textbooks so I never read them. But now, sigh..... I don't have a choice.

Okayy.. enough of my boring rambling. I promise some updates after my exam. Stay tune .

Introducing my 'kakak', Frustration, Dinner with Papa Sim, Xi Voon in S'pore & It's the 21st again!

WARNING: THIS IS GOING TO BE A VERY WORDY POST... A BREATH OF FRESH AIR FROM MY USUAL PICTURE FLOODED POSTS. SO IF YOU ARE ONE OF THEM WHO  SCROLLS THROUGH EVERYTHING AND LOOK AT THE PICTURES ONLY, THEN YOU CAN STOP HERE (I knoe because some of you have told me). I HAVE LOTS TO RAMBLE ABOUT THIS TIME... SO TOO BAD!!! MY BLOG

Introducing My 'Kakak'

Dear all,

I would like to introduce my 'kakak' here in Singapore. This is my 'kakak':

 Image027

'She' is like the best kakak anyone can ask for in the world. Just last weekend, when I had to attend my CPA course, 'she' got up with me at 7.30a.m. on both days. Then when I came out of the shower to pack my bag, I found everything in there. My water bottle filled up, handphone, pencil case, ricola ( I was still coughing) and biscuits. 'She' even packed my course materials in another bag! Then there was a cup of hot milo made for me sitting on the table and it tasted really really good. Awww....

'She' does most of the laundry and ALLthe ironing (except this one time when 'she' balik kampung to KL and left me all alone to do the ironing... but I still FAIL ahhaha in terms of quality that is) and cleans the whole house every weekend. I perempuan tak guna sial...

'She' also provides full body massages whenever you want them hehe. 'She' knows all the right spots because of all the injuries 'she' suffered from during 'her' competitive days in sports. Just two weeks back, I suffered severe muscle inflammation  (at both sides of my ribs from the front till the sides) from all my coughing which till today still hasn't worn off. It was so painful that I could barely move because the moment I moved, the pain was excrutiating and unbearable. Tears will build up in my eyes and I really felt like crying. But thank goodness for kakak who helped relief the pain with a heat pack, muscle relief cream and superb massaging (but it was damn pain okaaayy... I was practically pushing his oopsss I mean 'her' hand away) for a few days and it was much better the following days.

She fed me medicine everyday when I was sick.

But I have to say that I have a really really soft spot for my kakak. That day I got home earlier than 'her' and tried calling 'her' when I realised 'she' was taking a long time to get home but 'she' didn't answer. 'She' got home a few minutes later. I had my long black face ready when I knew 'she' was going to step into the room. Then 'she' came in with bags and bags of stuff in both hands. So I asked 'her': "Why you never answer my call?!" and 'she' took out 'her' phone and said 'she' didn't realise. Then I shot 'her' an angry look and 'she' said in mandarin WITH THE PUPPY LOOK "wo na ze ziang duo dong xi quan bu dou shi te di mai gei ni de worrrrrr (I'm holding so many bags, all are stuff deliberately bought for you worrrrr)" while lifting a plastice bag containing our pizza hut dinner in it in the air. THAT LOOK AND THE VOICE AND THE WAY IT WAS SAID meant it was game over for me. See what I mean? 'She' also bought me a few types of pastries for my breakfast the next morning because I had to be at the client's (awww...) and bananas (cos I have constipation hahaah *shy*) and Haagen Dazs (because I told him, I mean 'her' that I finished the whole tub when I got home from work. Then 'she' also told me 'she' rushed home from work (ran and skipped steps on the staircase) because I told her I was starving). I know what all of you are thinking, I AM DAMN MEAN RIGHT????!?!!! Hehehe... I know... Aiyarrrr but I LOVEEEEEEE my 'kakak' SOOOOOOOOO MUCH OKAAAYYYY.

Anyways, that's my kakak in a nutshell. Best thing of all? Everything is free of charge!!! BLEHEHEHEHEH

Frustration

As all of you will know, I'm currently in Singapore working. Everything has been good so far. I have JUST one complain about certain people's public manners. Let me enlighten you.

Incident 1: I was lining up at the cashier in Fair Price (a supermarket) and when it was my turn, before I could place my things on the conveyer belt, this couple behind me placed theirs first. I was taken aback and turned around to look at them but they pretended to be oblivious to my presence. I'm not transparent am I? I then turned back to the cashier and she looked at me guiltily and started scanning their items!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHUT IN THE WORLD??!!!!! I was tired that day so I decided not to find fault. But seriously, it was obvious that I was in the queue in front of them, they should at least have the decency to say something like "Oh I'm sorry, she should be first" BUT NOoooOOOO they didn't. So yea, I joined another queue at another cashier. Worse thing? I was so amused by what had just happened that I dropped my handphone onto the concrete ground and it hit the ground at high impact. GREAT! It was brand new.

Incident 2: I was at Mphosis looking through a rack of clothes and accidentally bumped into this girl on my right. It was a SLIGHT bump. So I said, "I'm sorry" (and no offence, but I noticed that they do not have the culture or habit of saying sorry here.. I don't know if it's just me but yeah...Many people have stepped on me and looked at me and just walk off) and guess what she said?? "OOoooOOKKkkkkkAaAAAaaaYYYYyyyyyy!!!!!!!" WHUT THE HELL WAS THAT?!!! I said I was sorry and it was a common accident, it's not like she fell or tripped or got hit hard and suffered injuries or whatever. She's younger mind you. I thought I heard wrongly and asked the chipmunk what she just said and he repeated what she said. He was so furious and kept staring at her. SO GANGSTER hehehe... Anyways, right after she sed that exaggerated "OKAY", she walked out of the shop (like so gaya like that) then....SHE WALKED BACK IN!!! Omg.... lol! The chipmunk said she merely walked out to show off but actually was not done browsing. She's a teenage school girl mind you. GOSH~

Incident 3 and many more: Guess who behaves the worse in public transports? No, it's not the youngsters. It's the aunties!!!! These should be the people who sets good examples for the rest. They are elderly and should be looked up to. But no, they are a menace (okay it's probably harsh to say that they are a menace but still!!). They cut queues conveniently whether at the MRT station or bus stops like they were never thought to line up (and I suspect that might be the case). Not only that, they push their way throught a crowd like literally push! Come on, everyone is in a rush to get somewhere. There was this one time. I was standing at the exit door of the bus with my hand on the vertical hand rail ready to tag out. Then this aunty from behind my hand, ducked underneath my hand and tagged out before me when my card was like 2 inches from the machine and I was a few inches from the machine myself. She literally squeezed between the machine and me. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!! These people are also the ones who stand infront of the MRT doors when there is a queue on both sides of the doors and also be the first to board the bus when there is a long queue waiting to board. How were these people brought up?! I sure hope their kids are way more civilised than them. The sad truth is, I encounted this EVERYDAY.

Sighhhh....

Dinner @ Tony Roma's with Papa Sim

I had dinner with the two men I love most at Tony Roma's. Papa Sim deliberately came down a few hours earlier so that he could have dinner with me (Awww...). My father's a workaholic, he can fly all the way to the other half of the world and have meetings back to back and fly back immediately (US, Europe, Japan, you name it). Crazy huh?? So I felt touched when he came down earlier to meet me.

Papa Sim treated us to Tony Roma's (I think he misses the pork ribs at Tony Roma's), something he introduced to me 10 years back. He ordered more and more food like there was no tomorrow and this chipmunk was up for anything because he was starving and hence had no objection. I on the other hand, had to give in since Papa Sim insisted that the two men can definitely finish everything. Finish they did indeed. He ordered a huge plate of appetizer (chicken wings, some cheesy thing and some stuffed potato skins), Caesar salad, Soups, Two types of ribs plus the complementary bread and butter provided by Tony Roma's.

Papa Sim flew off the next day at 4pm after FOUR back-to-back meetings... Geez.... But it was good to see him... I miss him *sob sob*

Xi Voon in Singapore & 4 pairs of new shoes

My babe Xi Voon was down in Singapore, I haven't seen her since our Sydney trip back in September. So we met up for a few hours and did a bit of shoe shopping together.

The chipmunk and me had lunch at the food court before meeting Xi Voon at Orchard and I placed the bag which contained a new pair of shoes I just bought and my favourite umbrella in it below the table. After lunch, both of us conveniently strolled around the mall without realising that we didn't have that bag with us anymore until when we sat down for drinks and a cake with Xi Voon. The chipmunk then rushed back up to the highest floor where the foodcourt is and looked but came back empty handed. BOOOHOOOHOOOHOOO... Somebody stole  my shoes and my favourite umbrella!!!

That's my super chun umbrella kay... I've had it for three years and it's really strong, it endured the crazy Melbourne weather and strong wind without breaking at all. It's an umbrella which opens up at the click of a button and closes with a click. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I'm emotionally attached to it. Arrhhhhhh!!!! Stupid person who stole me umbrella and shoes!!!!!!! I was devastated but only had myself to blame.

The chipmunk was so sweet to offer to buy me another pair. I was so devastated that my shopaholic side was triggered and I felt like buying almost everything that caught my eye. For your information, I haven't exactly shopped like I used to ever since I came to Singapore. So anyways, I almost bought a SGD 103 dress but the two people I was with were disapproving. Then we went shoe shopping and I almost bought another 4 pairs of shoes BUT I ended up buying ONLY THREE. So effectively, I bought 4 pairs including the stolen one. Hehe... but the chipmunk said he will GIVE ME MONEY TO PAY FOR IT. Notice I didn't say he is buying the shoes for me? He's really superstitious about not buying shoes for your other half part. I'm sure most of you would know about that superstition. TOUCH WOOOODDDDDDDD!!!!!!

Later that night, we went window shopping at high end shops. We went to Chanel, Fendi, Hugo Boss, Gucci, Coach, Tiffany & Co, Dior, Burberry, A/X etc before watching Step Up 2.

I knew there were a few bags I wanted to buy but it wasn't the time yet. However, when we got to DKNY, I saw this bag that I really wanted. It's nothing special but it's really practical. But the chipmunk won't let me buy it!!!!!!! ISH ISH ISH!!!!!!!! No matter how I begged he wouldn't give in and kononnya he is very FRAE-JEE-LAY (fragile) when it comes to me... pfftttt yeah rite!!!  Then he made an offer to me, he asked me if I can go for two months without buying anything else after buying the bag. He then asked me to talk to him again after recording all my expenses for the month. There's this template he gave me last time to keep track of our spending so that we don't overspend. His rationale was that if I bought the bag this month, I will have a HUGE HUGE amount to clear when we receive our credit card bill the following month. We have already booked ourselves into a five-star hotel for our trip to Phuket in May and also paid for the air tickets. Plus, we also need to pay for the airfare for our flight back to KL this weekend. He then asked me to wait for a few more weeks if I really wanted to get it so that I don't have to clear that amount together with the payment for our trip and all. So yeah yeah, I know he's right but but but I really want that baggggggggg!!!!

So anyways, enough ranting. Step up 2 was enthralling for the both of us and the chipmunk was itching to dance after that heheeheh. He kept moving to any music we heard along the way.

It's the 21st again...

I wanna thank you for believing in us. It is YOU, YOUR DETERMINATION and YOUR ENDURING EFFORT that kept us together. It's been a wonderful journey thus far.
